Baarrooka Durango’s Oddessy

Oddessy is an elite male with a pedigree to excite any coloured suri breeder. A result of our determination to improve coloured suri by using impact sires we sourced in the US, Oddessy is a great example of what we have been trying to achieve. He has a super-soft handling fleece with extreme lustre, coverage from head to toe and a very dense, fine fleece with excellent lock architecture. Along with a swag of high level show wins, he was awarded Best Medium/Dark Fawn Suri at the 2013 National.

His dam with Amador, Top Hat and full Accoyo Rockefeller (Torbio/Ramillo) genetics was the densest cria born on our farm and Oddessy is a replica of her. Because he has different Accoyo genetics to those already in Australia, he is a great option if you are looking to add more Accoyo, with colour, into your herd.

This male gives fineness, density and colour all in the one package (with consistency, lustre and locking to boot). A guaranteed impact sire of the future.

Oddessy has been used lightly as we are still using his sire, but we have been thrilled with the cria he has produced to date – colours from white to black. We intend to use him over our commercial herd in 2019 to impart that silky soft handle and density.
