Baarrooka DA Maverick

Well this is a different genetic combination! We were very excited to produce a black male from D’Angelo (see his stud page), a stunning fawn male. And he definitely stood out from the time he was born.

Maverick is super-dense and has the well-locked, long and greasy fleece of his sire. He has quite a sprinkling of white fibres, which we are not happy about, but the quality of his fleece, his strong frame and excellent coverage mean he must be used in our black breeding program. Maverick was 1st at the National as a Junior and was then shown in roan classes for Best Roan at each outing.

Note that he is much blacker than the photos show – always hard to photograph blacks.
