About this alpaca

Desert Prince is a well known, proven homozygous male and has been producing top quality coloured suris for a number of years. Baarrooka’s top coloured female producers, including Baarrooka Queen Wilhelmina (see above), are Desert Prince daughters.

Desert Prince was added to the Baarrooka stud line-up to increase the number and quality of coloured females in our herd. DP produced 72% colour from white dams and only 11% white from coloured dams, so was used over our top whites.

Desert Prince lived till the ripe old age of 21 and his line has great longevity with many progeny living in into their late teens or twenties
