Baarrooka Thunderstruck

Baarrooka Red156 (now given a stud name – Baarrooka Thunderstruck!) Is a stunning example of his sire Baarrooka Thundercrack who has produced an amazing number of high performance progeny with exquisite soft, buttery, lustrous fleece.  Many of our densest suris are from Thundercrack and his full brother Foreign Affair, both from the incomparable Durango and an Icalon daughter. On the dam’s side are Kurrawa Tariq and Milady Joanna. So a male bred in the purple, without a doubt.

Thunderstruck has been shorn every year, from 6 months of age and has performed impressively in regrowth of 5 months to 11 months growth, often against full-fleeced suris.

He has been awarded numerous Champion sashes, Best of Colour awards and recently was awarded Supreme Champion at Canberra Royal in his 4th fleece of 5 months growth. Each of his fleeces have also been shown with many accolades.

With excellent lustre, handle and fineness with excellent staple length on a well grown and solid frame, Thunderstruck will continue our goal of 4 kg of 20-22 micron fleece of all of our commercial herd.
