Baarrooka BD Spotless

Spotless was an attempt at breeding a quality fancy from his two outstanding parents – a 3/4 Accoyo pinto, by Durango, Baarrooka Pink Cadillac and a special appaloosa Baarrooka Brilliant Disguise.

Despite being a disappointing solid, his fleece was so dense he has hung around, avoiding the castration days. He has one of the densest fleeces in our colour herd and exhibits brilliant lustre and superb nutrition in his fleece year after year.

At 9 years of age he has finally been certified and is being used lightly at Baarrooka. After doing a bit more research, we are hoping, like in horses, that he carries two copies of the appaloosa gene (Leopard complex LP) and is thus a minimally spotted appaloosa. Long shot, I know, but we shall find out next year. With his quality fleece, the resultant cria should be a good results spots or no.
