About Julie Wilkinson

Julie Wilkinson founded the Baarrooka Alpaca Stud in 2001 and has built the herd up to close to 1000 animals, through judicious breeding and imports. Her passion has always been for the elegant and rare suri and she has made a huge impact on the quality of the coloured suri in Australia.

Julie has been very involved in the industry over this time, with positions on various committees such as Suri Breeding Groups, Education and Training Committee, Magazine editor and show convenor. She is currently on the Australian Alpaca Association Showing and Judging Committee and is organising Australia’s first micron-banded fleece show to be held in July 2019.
