Baarrooka Storm Warning

Baarrooka Red156 (now given a stud name – Baarrooka Storm Warning!) Is a stunning example of his sire Baarrooka Thundercrack who has produced an amazing number of high performance progeny with exquisite soft, buttery, lustrous fleece.  Many of our densest suris are from Thundercrack and his full brother Foreign Affair, both from the incomparable Durango and an Icalon daughter. On the dam’s side are Kurrawa Tariq and Milady Joanna. So a male bred in the purple, without a doubt.

Storm has been shorn every year, from 6 months of age and has performed impressively in fleeces of 5 months to 11 months growth, often against full-fleeced suris.

He has been awarded numerous Champion sashes, Best of Colour awards and recently was awarded Supreme Champion at Canberra Royal in his 4th fleece of 5 months growth. Each of his fleeces have also been shown with many accolades. He was awarded both Supreme White halter and Supreme White Fleece at the 2025 Colourbration Show

With excellent lustre, handle and fineness and staple length on a well grown and solid frame, Storm Warning will continue our production goal of 4 kg of 20-22 micron fleece for our commercial herd.
